This is an assessment to help the student and academic advisor determine the best level of placement in academic courses. It is to the student’s benefit to take their time on every portion of the assessment. Important Information about the ACCUPLACER Placement Assessments: When assessment scores indicate a reading class is necessary, an academic advisor can help students select additional appropriate courses. Students can consult individual course descriptions in the College Catalog for more information. Reading is a prerequisite or co-requisite for many individual courses at Central. Students must achieve an appropriate score on their reading placement assessment or complete RDG100 with a grade of “C” or better to meet the college graduation requirement. Reading Competency Requirementĭemonstrated proficiency in reading comprehension is a requirement for all degrees awarded by Central Arizona College.
